Fred Dylla was previously head of the Superconductivity RF Technology Department which was responsible for
the design and fabrication of the basic acceleration system for the
Jefferson Lab superconducting linac. He is currently in charge of Technology Transfer
at Jefferson Lab, and is heading up the effort to build a
Free Electron Laser based
on the superconducting RF technology pioneered in his department. The
focus of this research is high-value added materials processing.
